Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. She was the daughter of Kimberly Schmid, lived in Vietnam and has Chinese origin, and her father, Winston Barrett Munn, comes from a family that has deep roots in The American South. Olivia's parents divorced when she was just two years old and she was a child of her father and stepfather who was an active member of the United States Air Force. They left Oklahoma and lived in several places, but she lived the majority of her time in Tokyo. While in Japan, she appeared as an actor in local theatre performances, and later became an Japanese fashion model. Olivia moved to Los Angeles when her family eventually returned home to her home in the United States to follow her aspirations of becoming an actress. She began her acting career with a small character. Then, her career took off when she was cast as Mily Acuna in Hawaii's lensed television show Beyond the Break (2006). In 2007 she portrayed Rob Schneider's receptionist. She hosts G4's podcasts "The Daily Nut" along with "Formula D". She is a huge fan of surfing and has been practising since watching the tv show Beyond the Break (2006). She has also earned the black belt in taekwondo. When she was just two years old, her mother married again however this time to an US Air Force member. While the family was relocated numerous times, the vast majority of her life was spent in Tokyo Japan in Japan, which is the area where her stepfather worked for the military. Attending at the University of Oklahoma where she was a journalist with minors of Japanese and drama art.
